SUSTAINABILITY
Conventional cotton is one of the most polluting crops in the world. It accounts for 16% of all insecticides and 6% of all pesticides used globally. Many of these products have been identified as carcinogens.
Pests develop resistance to these chemicals within 5 to 6 years, forcing companies to develop increasingly toxic compounds. This puts the health of farmers, their families, and consumers at risk, as many of these toxins are not completely eliminated.
Organic cotton, on the other hand, is grown on land free of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and defoliants, which differentiates it from conventional cotton.
In addition, organic standards prohibit the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Peru maintains a ban on genetically modified seeds, which reduces the risk of contamination present in other cotton-producing countries.
The fact that our cotton is hand-picked is also an advantage: it reduces the environmental impact and improves product quality.

Only organic and locally sourced materials
We use only organic Pima cotton, grown in Peru.
Recognized for its softness, shine and durability, thanks to its extra long and fine fibers.
Our cotton is certified by GOTS and OEKO-TEX Standard 100.
While organic cotton decomposes in 5 months, polyester takes up to 100 years.
Made by Peruvian hands
Each ASLAS garment is crafted by local artisans with a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.
Production without loss
We apply a zero-waste approach from design to manufacturing, avoiding waste and reducing water use in each garment.
We have prevented more than 100 kilos of cotton from ending up in landfills.
